Curricula Update

Hey Teacher Friends!

Early in the semester, our team brainstormed how we could continue to provide resources that are easy to use both in a virtual setting and a socially distanced classroom. Here is what we have been working on for those who own our entire grade level MTM curricula:

Some of our traditional paper-based activities are now available in a digital format for use with Google Slides™ and Google Forms™.

What does this mean?
Our MTM team digitized existing activities included in the curricula. We selected specific activities that will work well digitally. We took into consideration ease of use for students, ease of use for parents, the different devices and technologies, and obviously what would make it easiest for teachers like you.

Unfortunately, not all of the activities meet this criteria, so each unit will not have the same number of digitized activities. This is intentional.

Below is a list of various activities that have been digitized and any modifications we have made.  Hopefully, this will be of help in this season.

Scavenger Hunts (open-ended responses)

Digital for use with Google Slides™, questions remain the same, students work through the slides and get to a “congratulations” message if completed correctly

CUT AND PASTE

Digital for use with Google Slides™, questions remain the same, students will move pieces around to virtually “cut and paste”

MAZES

Digital for use with Google Slides™, questions remain the same, students will move pieces around to virtually show their path

PERFORMANCE TASKS

Digital for use with Google Slides™, questions remain the same, students will complete the task using text boxes and the shape tool

Scavenger Hunts (MULTIPLE CHOICE RESPONSES)

Digital for use with Google Forms™, questions remain the same, students select the correct answer, work is auto-graded

CARD SORT

Digital for use with Google Forms™, students select the correct answer, work is auto-graded, assignment is reduced to 10 questions to allow students to complete the work in one sitting

TASK CARDS

Digital for use with Google Forms™, students select the correct answer, work is auto-graded, assignment is reduced to 8 task cards to allow students to complete the work in one sitting

HE SAID, SHE SAID

Digital for use with Google Forms™, questions remain the same, students select the correct answer and are asked to justify their response

FIND IT, FIX IT

Digital for use with Google Forms™, questions remain the same, students select the correct answer and are asked to justify their response

How will I access the updates?

If you own the resources on our MTM site, log in and navigate to the appropriate unit.  Find the file titled “Unit – Activity List”.

If you own the resources on TpT, log in and download the update in the “My Purchases” section.  Navigate to the appropriate unit and find the file titled “Unit – Activity List.”

All the best,

Noelle and the MTM team
