I thought it would be helpful to create a blogger resource page that teacher authors can use to see my most favorite products and services. These are ones that I have personally used and found beneficial to building my education brand and business. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

What’s Your Why?
This TED Talk by Simon Sinek has been influential in determining what, how, and why I do what I do. He shares familiar examples like Apple, Martin Luther King, and the Wright Brothers in order to communicate the power of a why. It is insightful and motivating as we work to move the needle in our businesses and impact education around the globe.
Business Resources
Gusto – Once I determined that I would file my taxes as an S-Corp, I became an employee of myself. Ha! But, I had to start drawing a salary and paying Medicare, FICA, and other federal and state taxes. I tried to work with an accountant but found it cost prohibitive and then again with a bookkeeper, but was unsatisfied. When, I found Gusto I was in love! Gusto is a cloud-based software that files your payroll and taxes automatically. This is perfect for small business bloggers who have a handful of employees.
ConvertKit – One of my big goals for 2016 was building an engaged email list. ConvertKit has allowed me to do so through their landing pages, forms, and the ability to tag the interest of each subscriber. Everything looks clean, modern, and simple of readers. I love that the interface is simple to use and intuitive. It’s the perfect solution for content upgrades and automation!
social media
Tailwind – Pinterest can be so overwhelming and consuming! I love Tailwind for its ease of use and how I can set my pins to various boards throughout the month. It keeps my Pinterest account active without having to be “on” Pinterest all the time. I also have found its new features Tribes and Content Finder (beta) to be super helpful for finding quality content in a concise amount of time.
blogging
Food Blogger Pro – If I had to describe the single most impactful resource I have found, it has been Food Blogger Pro. From the hundreds of tutorial videos on social media, wordpress, content management, to the forums with knowledgeable industry experts, I have learned so much. Though it is predominately food bloggers, the vast majority of the content applies to teacher authors as well. Be sure to check out their podcast too!
